LifeOnKey™ and its Technology Platform
LifeOnKey™
is a revolutionary Personal Health Management (PHM) platform that allows you,
to control your health information in a completely secure, safe and integrated
way. At the core of the LifeOnKey™
PHM platform is a proprietary, market-proven technology that delivers a
state-of-the-art
interoperability system.
What does interoperability mean, and why is it important?
It means: The LifeOnKey™ system
is smart.
The LifeOnKey™ "interoperability
module" automatically and seamlessly collects all your medical data independent
of source and format – and integrates and displays the information through a
secure patient information network.
That means LifeOnKey™ has
the ability to collect selected information from the various databases of
insurance companies, hospitals, doctors’ offices and other health care
providers. LifeOnKey™ lets
you control and decide what information you want to store--and how. Not only
can you build a virtual file for yourself when you need it, you can
also save a local file where you need it – your personal computer, PDA
or memory stick.
That’s really important for medical centers, physicians, administrators, and for
you. Why? Because you are no longer burdened by having to collect the various
information from the medical organizations that keep your health information.
LifeOnKey™ will configure and
fit to all systems.
With over one million LifeOnKey™
members currently using our PHM platform and scores of different information
systems being utilized by those members, the most important part of LifeOnKey’s
smart-platform is this: it works.
Market-Proven Innovation
The sophisticated technology of LifeOnKey™
“sits” on top of existing health information management systems and data
uploaded from peripheral medical devices.
The system provides easy-to-use patient rights-control modules, management
tools, tracking of follow-up procedures, and prevention strategies. Most
importantly, LifeOnKey™ ensures
the privacy of your personal health information.
The business intelligence embedded in LifeOnKey™
will also allow you to view your health status privately and securely, against
a larger LifeOnKey population. Imagine being able to compare your treatment or
outcomes against a real-time, documented view of people with similar ailments
or diagnoses—all real health data aggregated, never individual information.
The Intersection of Technical Security and Consumer Confidence
The LifeOnKey™ network,
always securely and easily accessed, is managed on a continuous 24/7 basis
empowering you to track and manage your medical condition or health goals. This
tracking is based on your auto-populated Personal Health Record and any health
information you have uploaded to the system from external medical devices. This
allows for integrated management of special health conditions, and relevant
health markers such as stress cortisol, blood pressure, cholesterol count, and
blood sugar levels. LifeOnKey™
members are able to upload confidential and potentially lifesaving health
information and also use the platform to track lifestyle behaviors (diet and
exercise) to promote self-care and prevention of other chronic diseases.
LifeOnKey™ Meets the Needs
of Consumers
LifeOnKey™ was specifically
designed to answer consumer and patient needs (as endorsed by the organizers of
Personal Health Conference in Washington, DC, October 11, 2005, which included
the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, The Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation and The Markle Foundation):
(1) Individuals should be able to access their health and medical data
conveniently and affordably
(2) Individuals should be able to authorize when and with whom their health
data are shared
(3) Individuals should be able to designate someone else, such as a loved one,
to have access to and exercise control over how their records are shared
(4) Individuals should receive easily understood information about the ways
their healthcare data may be shared
(5) Individuals should be able to review which entities have had access to
their personal health data (6) Electronic health data exchanges must protect
the integrity, security, privacy, and confidentiality of an individual’s
information.
LifeOnKey, Inc. is committed to providing the most reliable,
innovative technology to its worldwide network of members and partners. With
over 20 Centers of Excellence worldwide, LifeOnKey provides
leading-edge technological advances combined with ‘real-world’ experience—all
in an unrelenting effort to provide you with a secure, patient-centric Personal
Health Management platform.

Internet service for Personal Health Management (PHM) based on a consumer’s
health information. LifeOnKey is pairing the information with smart,
consumer-friendly tools that will enable people make sound medical decisions
and take action to improve their health and/or live symptom-free lives for as
long as possible. LifeOnKey™
has over 1 million registered members.
LifeOnKey’s patent-pending technology allows you to access and
fully manage your personal health information in an easy, secure and completely
confidential way. LifeOnKey™
allows you and those you authorize – such as family members -- to view updated
and comprehensive medical information by helping you build a virtual health
view of your medical information whenever you need one.
Our platform is built so you have easy access to and control of ALL aspects of
your health information: medical information test results, or any health data
important to you – and your family’s - wellbeing.
You control what goes into your
LifeOnKey™ files.
You authorize who can access the information.
You even control the type of technology
to safely store or exchange information: PC, mobile phone, PDAs, memory discs
or other devices.
LifeOnKey™ is the only
Personal Health Management System that is quick, secure, market-proven and U.S.
HIPAA compliant. LifeOnKey™
also offers online medical and health-specific modules, social networking
communities, search capabilities and sources of medical and health information.
LifeOnKey’s, initial offerings include two niche applications in
the United States: (1) women's health (2) health & wellness.
LifeOnKey’s mission is to revolutionize health informatics by
building an eHealth patient healthcare platform that places you in the center
and allows you to control access to personal health information confidentially,
privately and securely.
It’s smart. It’s secure. It’s about time.
|
|
With LifeOnKey™ health care
information is stored and updated electronically with important privacy
safeguards to protect the patient’s confidentially and holds the patient’s
links to information using the most advanced security technology available.
Whether treatment is planned or unexpected, the patient and those asked to care
for him or her, are able to access the patient’s medical information 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
Why is this so critical? Accuracy and timeliness of medical information
helps to ensure that the care provided to the patient is based on the most
recent data. Whether the patient requires care at home or at any health care
institution in the country, easy, secure and
continuous access to LifeOnKey™
can enhance quality of care and potentially reduce medical errors. Consider
that vital information for the patient’s diagnosis and treatment, such as
current medication, details of previous operations, test results and allergies,
is potentially lifesaving.
How is security of one’s medical information established? State-of-the-art
protection and authorization procedures are built-in to
LifeOnKey™ to safeguard medical information against
breaches of security. Built-in technical codes for privacy and security ensure
that only the patient and those involved in his/her care are able to access or
update medical information in a form that clearly identifies the patient. The
patient is able to choose whether or not to share his or her health
information, or make only certain aspects of medical data accessible to people
the patient designates. Extenuating circumstances, such as an emergency, may
override a security request in the interest of life-saving measures. All
privacy, security and confidentiality terms are clearly stated and agreed to by
each LifeOnKey™ member.
